Seedlings - Nectar Lovers Package Seedlings - Nectar Lovers Package
6 native, bare root seedlings for only $20. Each seedling is approximately 1 - 2 ft. in length.

The Nectar Lovers package features 2 each of:

False Indigobush
(Amorpha fruticosa)
6-12' tall. Full sun to part shade. Moist to dry soils. Loose, airy shrub with small purple to dark blue spike-like flower clusters April - June. Can form thickets. Larval host to Silver-spotted Skipper and Gray Hairstreak butterflies. Especially valuable to native bees.

Buttonbush 
(Cephalanthus occidentalis)
6-12 ft. tall. Full sun to part shade. Moist to wet soils. Showy shrub with fragrant white to light pink flowers that resemble pincushions July - August. Tolerant of wet soils and standing water. Beneficial to birds, butterflies, moths and native bees. Ducks and waterbirds eat the seeds.

Silky Dogwood 
(Cornus amomum)
6-12 ft. tall. Full sun to part shade. Moist soils. Shrub with clusters of yellowish-white flowers March - August followed by blue or gray berries in the fall. Gets its name from silky hairs on twigs and underside of leaves. Attracts birds and pollinators.


A full, nonrefundable payment must accompany your order. Orders will close when supplies run out. You will be emailed a confirmation receipt and directions to the pickup site near Falls Church, Va.

We ask that you limit your order to 3 seedling packages so that others may enjoy the sale as well.

Important: the seedlings need to get in the ground soon after pickup. If you cannot do this, you can pot them temporarily or you can heal them in (see tips here: What to Do If You Can't Plant When Your Order Arrives - Stark Bro's (starkbros.com) (Stark Brothers is not affiliated or endorsed by NVSWCD).
